The PAMP Lady is the iconic image of a Roman goddess of fortune, Fortuna. She features on the reverse side of PAMP’s minted bars. First introduced in 1979 and today world-renowned as a trusted symbol assuring PAMP Refinery quality and authenticity.
The image of Fortuna is portrayed with all of her mythical attributes: sheaves of wheat, poppies, horn of plenty, precious coins, and wheel of fortune. The sheaves of wheat represent abundance, the poppies represent sleep and peace, the horn of plenty represents prosperity, the precious coins represent wealth, and the wheel of fortune represents the ever-changing nature of luck.
The PAMP Lady image was created by Swiss artist Jean-Pierre Hagmann. He was inspired by the Roman goddess Fortuna, who was known as the goddess of luck, chance, and fate. Hagmann wanted to create an image that would represent the positive qualities of Fortuna.
