The most popular of the Austrian silver coins is the Vienna Philharmonic. It’s an elegant 999.0 silver bullion coin that was introduced in 2008. It’s issued by the Austrian Mint.

They are the only widely available European silver bullion coin and the only regularly issued silver bullion coins denominated in Euros.

The reverse of the 2023 coin features a set of musical instruments representing the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The obverse design features the pipe organ within the Musikverein’s Golden Hall. This is a concert hall in the Innere Stadt borough of Vienna.

Other Austrian silver coins include the Robin Hood coin issues in 2019 to commemorate the 825th anniversary of the founding of the Vienna Mint.
