The Silver Krugerrand is a silver bullion coin that was first minted in 2017 by the Rand Refinery in South Africa. It is a 1 ounce coin that is 99.9% pure silver. The obverse of the coin features a portrait of Paul Kruger, the former president of the South African Republic. The reverse features a leaping springbok antelope, which is the national animal of South Africa.

The Rand Refinery is the largest integrated single-site precious metals refining and smelting complex in the world. It is located in Germiston, South Africa, and was established in 1920.
