A few weeks ago we reported on the upcoming parliamentary money debate set to take place on the 20th November. Below are the highlights.

The following is a 12 minute video of highlights of the debate. 35 MP’s attended but depth of discussion and knowledge, was in our opinion, low. Michael Meacher MP, Labour MP for Oldham West and Royton ended by calling on “the Government to set up a commission on money and credit, with particular reference to the potential benefits of sovereign money, which offers a way out of the continuing and worsening financial crises that have blighted this country and the whole international economy for decades.” Zac Goldsmith MP Conservative MP for Richmond Park stated that “The time has come to establish a monetary commission and for Parliament to become much more engaged [in this issue].”(Positive Money Press Release)

Whether a commission is set up remains to be seen. But in the meantime, Bleyer’s clients are not waiting around but forging ahead with accumulating as much physical Gold and Silver as they can afford. Common sense tells us we as a nation do not need a commission to tell us what Bleyer’s clients already know; that our currency would do well to return to the Gold Standard. Then no-one could create ‘new money’ out of thin air. To find out how affordable and straight forward it is to buy and / or store your Gold and Silver with Bleyer, call one of the Bleyer Bullion team now on 01769 618618 or email [email protected].
