Sunshine Minting products rarely come through our door and there are not many currently for sale in the UK. Their coins, rounds and bars tend to be very popular with collectors, so when we get them in, they are quickly snapped up.
About Sunshine Minting
Sunshine Minting Inc. is a producer of precious metal products based in North America. They are the primary supplier of silver blanks to the United States Mint. The company also supply mint products to international mints, financial institutions, marketing companies, and corporations around the world.
They are located in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, just 35 miles from Spokane International Airport. Idaho is rich in precious metals history, and is one of the most abundant silver producing areas in the world.

Sunshine Minting History
Sunshine Minting was founded in 1979.
It began its journey as a small business in Chino, California. It started with the name ‘TENTEX,’ which is an amalgam of the words Texas and Tennessee – the birthplaces of the husband and wife team who started this venture.
The company’s primary focus was set on making silver rounds and silver bars for bullion dealers and marketing agencies across the country. TENTEX quickly gained recognition for its quality and reliability.
Five years after its inception, Sunshine Mining, a mining enterprise based out of Kellogg, Idaho, acquired TENTEX. The company shifted its operations from Chino to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho that year, and took on the name – Sunshine Bullion Company.
The Sunshine Bullion Company expanded its client-base and launched a line of exceptional silver bullion products – the famous Sunshine Silver Eagle Rounds. This series caught on quickly and attracted buyers from all sections of the precious metals market, and it still does to this day. These Silver Eagle rounds are not to be confused with the American Silver Eagle Coins, which are struck by the US Mint.
After close to a decade, Sunshine Mines decided to sell the minting arm of its company. The founders bought back their business and formed another private limited company with the name we know today – Sunshine Minting, Inc.
1oz Silver Rounds
Each 1oz Sunshine Minting Silver round contains one troy ounce (31.1035 grams) of 999.0 fine silver.
They feature the Sunshine Minting eagle with a sun ray design in the background, along with a mintmark to help authenticate Sunshine Minting Inc. bullion.
The reverse shows the same sun ray design along with details of the weight and fineness.
The 1oz Silver Rounds are in the Margin Scheme so the price includes VAT.
