What is The Lunar Rabbit?

In 2023, we celebrate the 4th animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac. The 12 zodiac animals are, in order: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. Each year has an animal sign according to the 12-year cycle.

2023 is the Year of the Water Rabbit, starting from Chinese New Year (January 22, 2023) and lasting until February 9, 2024. The sign of the Rabbit is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture. 2023 is predicted to be a year of hope.

The lunar Rabbit, also known as the ‘Moon Rabbit’, is said to bestow intelligence, creativity, vigilance and compassion on those born under its influence in 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011 and 2023.
