The remarkable artwork depicts Merlin, the revered sorcerer and advisor to King Arthur, in a moment of profound wisdom and magic. The intricate details bring the ancient wizard to life, showcasing his flowing robes, long white beard, and the iconic staff he wields with authority. The owl on his shoulder represents knowledge and wisdom.
On the obverse features Martin Jennings’ effigy of King Charles III, signifying the coin’s status as legal tender (capital gains tax exempt) in the UK.
