This 1oz silver Lakshmi round features The Goddess Lakshmi, who is one of the principal goddesses in the Hindu religion. Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth, power, fortune, fertility, beauty and prosperity. In Indian art, Lakshmi is depicted as an elegantly dressed golden coloured woman standing or sitting in the padmasana position upon a lotus throne whilst holding a lotus in one of her hands, this symbolises fortune, self-knowledge and spiritual liberation. Lakshmi is portrayed showing four hands which represent the four aspects of human life important in the Hindu culture.
The OM motif is featured on it’s reverse. The Baird & Co. 1oz Silver Lakshmi round is minted from 999.9 fine silver in their London refinery.
