Buying in this format is slightly more expensive than one of our standard 100 gram bars but given the additional work involved in production that is understandable. Were you to compare the price of a combibar to buying 100 x 1 gram of our cheapest bars, you would be paying quite a bit more!
Valcambi Background
First established in 1961 as Valori & Cambi by a group of Swiss businessmen. In 1967 Credit Suisse bought 50% of the refinery and the name was changed to Valcambi. By 1980 Credit Suisse owned 100% of the refinery. European Gold Refineries SA purchased the total refinery in 2003.
