The 1892 Austrian 4 Florin (10 Francs) gold coin is one of Europe’s most iconic trade coins, originally designed for international commerce during the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I. All coins bearing the 1892 date are official restrikes by the world-renowned Austrian Mint (Münze Österreich), serving as a trusted standard for gold investors and collectors alike.

• Emperor Franz Joseph I: The centerpiece is a dignified, right-facing portrait of the Emperor (ruled 1848–1916). He is depicted in a laureate style, wearing a laurel wreath—a classical Roman symbol of victory and authority.
• Inscriptions: The Latin legend reads: FRANCISCVS IOSEPHVS I D G IMP AVSTRIAE IMPERATOR ET HVNGARIAE REX.
