1oz James Bond Silver Coin Background
This 1oz James Bond Silver Coin celebrates the fictional British Secret Service agent, James Bond (codename 007). This coin was designed by Joseph Caroff under the direction of David Chasman. With James Bond’s internal number 007 (double-o-seven) becoming synonymous with the character, it has become the centre piece of this coin. The coin was issued by, and is therefore legal tender of Tuvalu. Struck prestigiously by The Perth Mint. This coin has seen a capped production run of just 20,000, this adds to it’s exclusivity and rarity.
The reverse of the coin displays a simplistic, yet gorgeous design of the rifling inside a gun barrel with “007” and a hand gun in the centre. This is the only part of the coin in colour.
The obverse of the coin bears an effigy of the late Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian-Rank Broadley. Around the edges are; the year, fineness, weight, “QUEEN ELIZABETH II”, it’s denomination (1$) and the issuing country of Tuvalu.
