Red Arrows’ 50th Display Season
In 2014, the Red Arrow’s 50th display season began. The Red Arrows, also know as the Royal Air Force Aerobatics Team, have been performing their stunning displays since 1964, performing over such events as the Biggin Hill International Air Fair (15th May 1965), the Battle of Britain Air Show (September 2006), and at the RIAT (2014). To date, they have performed over 4800 displays.
This coin is a beautiful commemoration of this historic event, displaying the iconic red, white and blue trail colours of the Red Arrows. The obverse side of the coin displays a modern effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
