Maid Marian Coin Background
This is the second coin in the Robin Hood series. Firstly celebrating the story of the legend himself and The Royal Mint have now moved onto the heroine Marian, one of his loyal companions.
It was rumoured that she collected information for their joyous group and was a valued member. Much like the rest, also loved by the people of England.
Although Maid Marian was not depicted in the earlier writings, she has been noted as being one of the most prominent female roles of the time.

Maid Marian Coin Design
This is the second coin in a new bullion collection inspired by the myth and legend of Robin Hood. Jody Clark’s depiction of the character features her hiding behind a tree, stealthily looking on, observing what appears to be a pre-cursor to an ambush with a quiver brimming with arrows strapped to her back.
This coin was preceded by the Robin Hood coin, who is the protagonist of the whole story, and then followed by Robin Hood’s right hand man and trusted companion, Little John.
