This 1kg Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother coin marks an unprecedented moment in royal history, it celebrates the 85th birthday on 4th August 1985.
The reverse of the coin features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother surrounded by her grandchildren. The outside edge is inscribed “QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER” and underneath “85TH BIRTHDAY WITH GRANDCHILDREN”. The date “1985” is inscribed at the bottom along with the face value “FIVE POUNDS” of the coin.
The obverse of the coin features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and is inscribed “QUEEN ELIZABETH II FALKLAND ISLANDS” and is dated 1998.
This 1kg Silver Proof coin is presented in a hard plastic capsule within a lined wooden presentation box.
