In 2013 The Royal Mint began producing Britannia coins in their current form of 999.9 fineness (24-carat gold).
The non-gold content in the 1/10oz Gold Proof UK Britannia for 2005 was silver. The face value £10 coin contains 1/10oz (3.11g) of fine gold. The coin is heavier than this weight however, as it is struck to 22 carat (91.67%) purity.
