For 2020 The Royal Mint bring you a third and final Oriental Britannia coin. Struck in fine gold, Philip Nathan’s Britannia is flanked by a new, ornate oriental border designed by Emma Noble inspired by the Chinese-themed rooms at Buckingham Palace and the Royal Pavilion in Brighton.

Gold Oriental Border Coin – Background
The Oriental Border design is a variation to the standard Britannia coin and mintages were restricted to 5,000 per year. The coins were designed to be more attractive and of greater appeal to the Asian market.
Gold Britannia coins are currently issued with an unlimited mintage, if you are looking for limited edition UK coins we also stock other series including the UK Lunar and Queen’s Beasts. The smaller gold sovereign coins may also be worth considering.
