1/4oz Gold Proof 75th Birthday of King Charles III Coin Design
On the obverse of the coin is the inscription: “· CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F D · 25 POUNDS · 2023”, circled around the left facing effigy of King Charles.
The reverse of the coin verges on decadent with many aspects. Around the top are the words: “HIS MAJESTY KING CHARLES III”. At the bottom are the years: ‘1948’ and ‘2023’, 1948 referring to the year Charles was born, and 2023 marking his 75th Birthday. Starting between the two years and travelling up between two flowers, there is; a dragonfly, a 75 (marking the Birthday), a bee, RCIII (referencing R-Rex (King in Latin) CIII-Charles the third, a crown and then a bug of some kind.
